This is a Disney themed wedding mix with traditional Sri Lankan wedding. With the slight off-white wedding dress, the bride looks like Bella in Beauty and the Beast (The make up artist did a great job!), however, the handsome groom definitely not looks like a beast. He looks more like a prince!



We came to Hunton Park hotel near Watford for the wedding. “The videos are amazing!” The groom from Essex and bride from Paris love them so much. “Well, thank you for making your wedding fabulous!” When we saw the super car and horse carriage, we know this cannot go wrong, the clips would look very grand and fairytale like.

To make the videos interesting, we interviewed the groom and bride, also one of the bridesmaids before the wedding and use the audio voice over for the videos. It helps telling the story, showing how the groom and bride felt before the wedding.



In the traditional part of the wedding, it showed emotional moment of the day. The groom’s sister gave a speech and the family has organised a surprised performance for the newlywed!



We had two cameras this time, taking turns to film A roll (documentary) and B roll (cinematic shots). At the same time, one person deal with the audio capture. We have produced a highlight video and a feature video for the couple. Do you like the result? Drop us a few lines to leave your comments.



After this grand wedding, we had a bit of time walking to Watford train station from the venue and had some couple time for ourselves. My husband has picked up some lovely flowers on the side of the road. This is a simple kind of celebration of love. Quite a contrast from the grand wedding. There was no grand set up and beautiful carriages around. No matter how big or small the celebrations showed, love worth to be celebrated.

“I did not think it would come.” The bride said. “We have been together 15 years.” It is never too late to get married. All you need is The One and you are sure about it.



It was a happy day, we have witnessed the bride trying to put the ring onto the wrong hand finger without the groom and registrar noticing and also the effort the bride and groom put into this wedding: small hand paint cartoon avatars for every guests, searching for venues (Unfortunately, they needed to cancel the original bookings with venues before. One place had fire damage and they were not too sure about one place’s food.), look for coordinator and toastmaster to make sure everything was on track.

There was a period of time we tried to post different ideas for weddings on social media. We had a post about bridal boudoir before wedding day to test out the style and take some stress off on the wedding day. This bride’s friend liked the post and this bride read it and contacted us directly. “It is a good idea, I want to know more how we can organise it.” It was the first conversation. Ended up, they booked us to be their photographer and videographer. We also went to scout the locations before hand. Sometimes booking a client means being their friends and look after their every needs. After all, most likely that’s their first and last wedding and everybody wants to get it right. We are here to take off some stress for couples as we have served more than a hundred weddings and saw lots of different types of events – with cultural elements, with first look, wedding ceremony during cocktail party, with thousands of people, with just 4 people (groom and bride plus two witnesses). “I was so happy that I have found you!” The bride said on her wedding day when we met her finally in Llandudno, Wales. “I jumped up and down when you said can do my wedding photos! Your works are beautiful!” The bride is a descendent of Irish and Eastern European. She loves fashionable, trendy look wedding photos. The groom is from Nigeria. Both of them currently living in England.



There were some preparation before the wedding. Since the bride is drawn to fashion wedding shoot, we suggested to have a look at their chosen dress and suit, also accessories and makeup and hair styling trial. After, we have drew mood board with different ideas of poses, light set up and props which we think could be suitable for them. Not a surprise, the photos do look exactly how we imagined. The couple just look fabulous and cool.

1 out of 10 couples would choose to have fashion, moody look for their wedding photos. No matter what the couples like, we work with them and prepare to ‘wow’ them with the final pictures.



We have drove nearly 5 hours from London to Llandudno this beautiful seaside town. It is a picturesque place. The couple chose St John’s Church for their wedding blessing ceremony. The couple has signed marriage documents a few years ago, but the couple would like to have a formal blessing from the church. At the same time, the groom and their two children were baptised. It was a great day! People in Llandudno were very kind to us and seemed they were celebrating with the family when they walked pass during the family shoot outside the church.



After the formal family shoot, we followed the wedding car to different locations for the couple portraits. After that we headed to The Old Rectory Country House in Conwy. Just this time, we told the couple to go first and we would come after packing up the lighting equipment.



The GPS led us to a hill. It was a tight one way street and we found that the venue was not there. Then, we were trapped on the road for 40mins because there was a car parked on the road and we could not reverse. After knocking on a house door for 30 mins, a lady came out and pointed the way to us, however, there was some smoke came out from the car when we tried to reverse, so for safety reason, we carried all the equipment and walked to the venue instead. Thank God it was not far away!



We have extended the service time for the couple and caught the nice sunset shot for them – facing the marvellous mountains and river in a romantic garden of the venue. That is a dream come true moment!



After our work has finished, we were trapped again for another 5 hours in the venue waiting the recovery service to come to check the car. After the mechanic said it was all fine, we drove for another 5 hours home. There was a funny story in between. When we went to get the car, we heard some noise and there could be some animals close to us as there were movement in the bush. The noise sounded like warning. To be honest, at that time, we were a bit scared because we did not know what kind of animal was that! After awhile, we shared the story with friends, they said most likely those are sheep, as there are many farms with sheep in Wales. What an experience!

We always enjoy sunny day family photo shoots. This is our third time with this friendly Malaysian couple and with their little angels!
This time we went to Coworth Park - Polo Centre (in Ascot, Virginia Water area, England) to run around, crawl between the pretty yellow field of flowers. We also saw a bunch of different colour flowers, blue, purple, pink, white, red... What a lovely field!

It is our honour to have them here. We did have fun with the kids.

We have provided wedding photography and bridal hair makeup service for this beautiful and friendly Hong Kong couple to capture their Chinese wedding ceremony and banquet.



In Chinese banquet, you can hear a lot of cheering during the ‘toasts’ – couples and the immediate families would go around the tables to toast to their guests. In tradition, wedding guests and the couples need to ‘down’ the whole glass, as a challenge sometimes. When this happens, the best man and other groomsmen would drink instead of the grooms and brides.



The wedding was held in Imperial China restaurant in Watford. Except photography, we have provided hair and makeup service. We wish the couple a happy married life.



Although it may not be a big celebration, for Chinese, gather together for meals with family members is an important part for weddings. It is because Chinese believe wedding is more than two people coming together but two families coming together. Normally there will be tea ceremony as well for the couples to show respect to their parents and all senior family members. Of course they get a lot of ‘blessings’ too, kind words, red packets and gold jewelry. Although we are in the 21st century, we still keep this culture alive.



A wedding date is not picked easily. It has to match with the Lunar calendar and see if that is good for wedding.

Before the year end, we have received this lovely review! In fact, we had a great day as well in Windsor area. The wedding was held in Windsor Guildhall, a historical place where we could see groups of tourist walking around, but it did not affect the wedding. The hall literally looked grand. One of the best set up in what we called ‘council town halls’.



After the family group shots and couple portraits, we went to The George’s event room to continue the banquet shots. Really love the tipi the couple set up at the backyard of the event place, made it such a cosy space. After the banquet, a relative who was leaving gave us a lift to the train station, we had a long conversation with him about the family and life in England (A part of the family came from Scotland). Working in events is fun because we can meet lots of people in informal way and that opened up a lot of conversations.



We love the photos and videos because they look very relax, romantic and happy. Hope they will build a happy family!

We have attended the white wedding of this Indian bride and Portuguese groom in Oaksfarm, Croydon. Oaksfarm looks like a place outside London with a barn looking ceremony room. It did not take us long to travel from studio to this lovely venue. Highly recommend to visit if you are in London and want a relax barn / farm wedding.



Back to the wedding story, let’s beginning with the engagement party in their house in South London. Not a lot of couple still host engagement parties, seems we saw more the bridal shower/ hen-do and stag-do instead. It depends on where the grooms and brides came from. We served in engagement parties for African and Asian couples more. As a mix cultural couple, they have threw a small gathering for close friends and family members. We can see that family is very important to the couple.



The bride came from event industry, so it was not a shock to receive a shot list. 1 out of 10 couples of ours use shot list. We have our shot list if couples want to use them, we can send one for them to select the shots they want, but normally, we shoot everything. There are pros and cons about having shot list. Photographers and videographers would tend to focus more on the list, but put less attention to other parts of the wedding. Probably, it would be wise to have a list of ‘can’t miss moments/ items’ instead, so the photographers and videographers would still have space to be creative but at the same time knowing what is important to the couples.



The event unfolded nicely and we did have some very nice shots of the couple. We are very pleased with the result. The Pianist and DJ were just great as well, bringing this intimate wedding to the next level.
