Walima Photography and Videography at Ardoe House Hotel & Spa | Aberdeen Wedding Photographer: 

We recently had the honour of providing walima photography and videography services for a wonderful Bangladeshi couple at the beautiful Ardoe House Hotel & Spa in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Having worked in the wedding industry for nearly 14 years, we have been fortunate to capture many different styles of weddings and cultural celebrations across the UK and Europe. 

Our experience includes Bangladeshi weddings, Pakistani weddings, Indian weddings, Muslim walima and nikkah ceremonies, African weddings, Nigerian weddings, Ghanaian weddings, traditional English weddings, and luxury pre-wedding events.

Although we regularly travel throughout London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford, Glasgow, Cardiff, and many other cities for weddings, this was our very first time working in Aberdeen. The peaceful atmosphere, elegant surroundings, and welcoming hospitality made this wedding experience truly memorable for us.

Before the walima celebration in Aberdeen, we had also photographed and filmed the couple’s beautiful wedding at Northbrook Park Wedding Venue in Hampshire. Their Northbrook Park wedding featured a more classic and elegant English wedding style blended with traditional cultural elements, while the Aberdeen walima celebration represented the groom’s family side and focused more on Islamic traditions and family gatherings.

We have also previously covered several weddings at Northbrook Park Wedding Venue over the years, which continues to be one of the UK’s most popular luxury wedding venues for multicultural and Asian weddings.

Our wedding day coverage in Aberdeen started early in the morning with bridal hair and makeup preparation photography. We captured elegant bridal portraits and detailed shots before moving around the venue for romantic couple photography and cinematic wedding videography.

The scenery around Ardoe House Hotel & Spa created the perfect background for timeless portraits before the evening reception began. As guests started arriving for the walima celebration, the atmosphere inside the ballroom became even more exciting and emotional.

Throughout the evening, we documented every important moment including the couple’s grand entrance, speeches, family interactions, cake cutting, group portraits, wedding décor details, and heartfelt celebrations with relatives and friends.

One of the most touching parts of the day was seeing the couple receive warm wishes and marriage advice from their parents and elderly family members. The imam also led Islamic prayers and blessings during the celebration, creating meaningful and emotional moments for everyone present.

At the end of the evening, although the couple looked understandably tired after such a busy and emotional day, they were clearly filled with happiness and joy surrounded by the people closest to them.

We also had the opportunity to enjoy some delicious traditional Bangladeshi dishes served during the walima reception, which added another memorable part to our experience in Aberdeen.
