Elegant Walima Photography & Videography at Ardoe House Hotel & Spa in Aberdeen

We recently had the honour of providing walima photography and videography services for a wonderful Bangladeshi couple at the beautiful Ardoe House Hotel & Spa in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Having worked in the wedding industry for nearly 14 years, we have been fortunate to capture many different styles of weddings and cultural celebrations across the UK and Europe. 

Our experience includes Bangladeshi weddings, Pakistani weddings, Indian weddings, Muslim walima and nikkah ceremonies, African weddings, Nigerian weddings, Ghanaian weddings, traditional English weddings, and luxury pre-wedding events.

Although we regularly travel throughout London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bradford, Glasgow, Cardiff, and many other cities for weddings, this was our very first time working in Aberdeen. The peaceful atmosphere, elegant surroundings, and welcoming hospitality made this wedding experience truly memorable for us.

Before the walima celebration in Aberdeen, we had also photographed and filmed the couple’s beautiful wedding at Northbrook Park Wedding Venue in Hampshire. Their Northbrook Park wedding featured a more classic and elegant English wedding style blended with traditional cultural elements, while the Aberdeen walima celebration represented the groom’s family side and focused more on Islamic traditions and family gatherings.

We have also previously covered several weddings at Northbrook Park Wedding Venue over the years, which continues to be one of the UK’s most popular luxury wedding venues for multicultural and Asian weddings.

Our wedding day coverage in Aberdeen started early in the morning with bridal hair and makeup preparation photography. We captured elegant bridal portraits and detailed shots before moving around the venue for romantic couple photography and cinematic wedding videography.

The scenery around Ardoe House Hotel & Spa created the perfect background for timeless portraits before the evening reception began. As guests started arriving for the walima celebration, the atmosphere inside the ballroom became even more exciting and emotional.

Throughout the evening, we documented every important moment including the couple’s grand entrance, speeches, family interactions, cake cutting, group portraits, wedding décor details, and heartfelt celebrations with relatives and friends.

One of the most touching parts of the day was seeing the couple receive warm wishes and marriage advice from their parents and elderly family members. The imam also led Islamic prayers and blessings during the celebration, creating meaningful and emotional moments for everyone present.

At the end of the evening, although the couple looked understandably tired after such a busy and emotional day, they were clearly filled with happiness and joy surrounded by the people closest to them.

We also had the opportunity to enjoy some delicious traditional Bangladeshi dishes served during the walima reception, which added another memorable part to our experience in Aberdeen.

We have served a nice Indian couple's wedding day in Hilton London Watford Hotel, Northwest London. Their love story unfolded in the elegant ambiance of the hotel, and our wedding photography and videography services were there to capture every moment.

This couple has actually contacted us just a couple weeks before their wedding day because they are both professional doctors and they told us they could not find enough time to plan their wedding arrangement. They got our contact from another doctor friend we served a few weeks before this couple's wedding, who used to work in the same hospital as the groom.

The Wedding Arrangement

The Hilton London Watford Hotel served as the perfect setting for their celebration. The couple orchestrated the entire event within the venue, creating a convenient and joyous atmosphere for all. As is customary in Indian weddings, the ceremony took center stage. It was an enjoyable celebration, the food and dance were superb!

The Unusual Requests

The DJ offered to display the wedding photos at the party. So during the party, we took about an hour off to process the ceremony photos for the DJ. It enhanced the guests' experience as people genuinely enjoyed reviewing the day! In the instant edits, we included the preparation shots before the ceremony, showing the bride getting her makeup done and the groom having the turban fitted. 

The first look of the couple got a lot of cheers. The bride walked on the idle accompanied by her father and her son. Her radiant look was done by the same makeup artist who served another doctor's wedding. She is very nice and professional. Unlike other Asian makeup artists, she sells natural bridal looks, so the brides look like themselves.

We enjoyed their wedding very much and took lots of photos during the party session. We hope this memory will last forever for their family.

This wedding was in fact our another typical Indian traditional wedding day service showing how our dedication in our works throughout the event. This referral came from our previous couple who had another Mauritius Hindu Wedding just one and half month before. The sister of the other couple introduced us to the sister of this groom who organised the event.

We found that Indian weddings are full of blessings from family members. Most of them chip in and make the wedding events successful. We are honoured to witness so much love and respects among these families. 

Experimental Photography

This couple was very sincere and love creative photos. Although we did not know them much piror the wedding, we found out we can create special memories for them by our experimental photography. This is the type of photography we would like to do more in coming year. It records the couple's dance movement on 2D photograph. 

The process is inspired by landscape photography and light painting. It looks fashionable with some motion blur, while the couple's faces are lit by manual flash. When taking this set of photos, we would never know the end result, as the couple was constantly moving. 

This type of photos could only be taken in the dark, as we can only us bulb mode in the camera. It will affect the result if there is too much light. The bride works for a fashion brand, so she really appreciated this type of creative photos. 

They will also have another wedding in Portugal. We wish them a wonderful everlasting married life!

Experimental Photography

Capturing Love at Hilton London Watford Hotel: 

We have served a nice Indian couple's wedding day in Hilton London Watford Hotel, Northwest London. Their love story unfolded in the elegant ambiance of the hotel, and our wedding photography and videography services were there to capture every moment.

This couple has actually contacted us just a couple weeks before their wedding day because they are both professional doctors and they told us they could not find enough time to plan their wedding arrangement. They got our contact from another doctor friend we served a few weeks before this couple's wedding, who used to work in the same hospital as the groom.

The Wedding Arrangement

The Hilton London Watford Hotel served as the perfect setting for their celebration. The couple orchestrated the entire event within the venue, creating a convenient and joyous atmosphere for all. As is customary in Indian weddings, the ceremony took center stage. It was an enjoyable celebration, the food and dance were superb!

The Unusual Requests

The DJ offered to display the wedding photos at the party. So during the party, we took about an hour off to process the ceremony photos for the DJ. It enhanced the guests' experience as people genuinely enjoyed reviewing the day! In the instant edits, we included the preparation shots before the ceremony, showing the bride getting her makeup done and the groom having the turban fitted.

The first look of the couple got a lot of cheers. The bride walked on the idle accompanied by her father and her son. Her radiant look was done by the same makeup artist who served another doctor's wedding. She is very nice and professional. Unlike other Asian makeup artists, she sells natural bridal looks, so the brides look like themselves.

We enjoyed their wedding very much and took lots of photos during the party session. We hope this memory will last forever for their family. And we wish them an everlasting wonderful married life!

The Engagement Party

Capturing the essence of love and tradition, we recently had the pleasure of providing Hindu engagement party videography services for a delightful Indian couple at the Blue Room Sports Venue in Harrow, London.

This wasn't our first time at the Blue Room – in fact, it's become somewhat of a second home for us, having covered numerous traditional engagement and wedding ceremonies for Indian couples.

This lovely couple's engagement season has actually started with Hindu ritual ceremony while food was served to guests. The couple then received gifts from both sides of families and had the ring exchanged on stage. As part of the tradition, the groom to be would also receive an engagement ring!

Video Story Board Planning

The most epic part was the dance! There were various dance performances. The couple dance had the most cheers. It was a seamless performance. The couple has sent us their dance rehearsal before. We had catch-up meetings about every 2-4 weeks to plan the scenes of the video which tells their story. To capture the best scene, we took into account the colours, outfits, and decoration choices and brought suitable types of equipment.

The Fancy Videography Effects

When watching the final video, you can see that we played with different props, and did various things to enhance the video. To count a few - the night drone shots with smoke bomb; three cameras approach (A-roll for documentary shots showing how the guests would see and experience the event, B-roll for beautiful cinematic shots and a hidden camera facing the audience, to capture their expression with wide angle shots); the couple and guest interviews. Everything is planned according to the desired end result which we agreed to produce during the meeting with the couple.

The Trend of Couple Dance

This year, we have witnessed a rising trend of couples incorporating special dance performances into their weddings, with this unique and personal touch becoming a favourite among family members, relatives, and guests. Our journey this year included another remarkable wedding in Liverpool, where a Hong Kong couple also mesmerised their guests with a similar dance performance.

In the end, we wrapped our shoot smoothly, and the couple was overjoyed with their teaser, highlight, and feature videos. We extend our heartfelt wishes to them for their wonderful and everlasting love.
