It was an outdoor wedding at the bandstand with almost seamless greenery in the background. Sunlight made all the different with the look of the photos and videos. It made them look fresh and bright. We love how these came out refreshing with modern look.

After the wedding ceremony, traditional tea ceremony gave respect elder parents done, we moved into indoor banquet place were we can see the lovely DIY wedding cake and colourful desserts. These delicious delicacies were actually done by the bride's sister who is opening a pastry shop! In fact, the groom and bride are both from Chinese food industry. Their parents own Chinese take aways for decades. And now, these family businesses are passed to their children - the groom and bride to look after.

The banquet is held in Western style. Probably it is because the groom and bride know the standard of their parents regarding Chinese food and also want them to enjoy something different. We were very happy, because we get to taste all the desserts after wedding banquet finished. 

Their wedding ceremony and wedding banquet were held at Pavilions of Harrogate, Great Yorkshire.

We wish them a happy married life forever. Hope that we can meet them again to take their lovely pregnancy and newborn baby photos in the future.

婚禮結束後，傳統的茶道禮敬長輩，我們搬進了室內宴會廳，可以看到可愛的DIY婚禮蛋糕和五顏六色的甜點。這些美味佳餚居然是開糕點店的新娘的妹妹製作的！事實上，新郎和新娘都來自中式食品行業。幾十年來，他們的父母擁有中國外賣店。而現在，這些家族生意傳給了他們的孩子——新郎和新娘去打理。

小資簡約老馬里波恩市政廳婚禮 ｜Simply Modern & Elegant – Wedding in The Old Marylebone Town Hall

We have provided wedding photography and bridal party hair and makeup services to the bride, relative and bridesmaids. The bridal party first got ready in an B&B in Covent Garden. The bridal party, groomsmen and the groom had the challenges – door game, before the groom able to see the bride.

This beautiful Hong Kong couple then had tea ceremony with the bride’s side parents before heading to the groom’s side family for another part of tea ceremony in Islington area. After the tea ceremony, we arrived The Old Marylebone Town Hall to witness the couple’s wedding ceremony. And their modern banquet was held in Sea Containers by the River Thames, a rather romantic location where we enjoyed the city view at night.

Although there was not much restriction, we were still in the pandemic. We were lucky to be with them the whole day to witness the important day. We started early in the morning to do the hair and makeup for the bride and bridal party. This bride is a special bride for us, because she wanted very natural look for her hair styling.

Her mother said it looks like the bride’s style looks much ‘simpler’ than the bridesmaids’! She is right, however, we understood the reason afterwards when she put on a black biker jacket. Her style is a clash of sweet, simple and rock and roll! For us, it is important the bride is happy with her hair and makeup, because the confidence does show on photos. In their door game session, there was so much laughters and joy.

The highlight for us was the groom needed to play treasure hunt, finding the bride’s shoes. He finally found them in a washing machine! In Chinese, ‘taking the shoes’ is a slang which kind of sounds humiliating. Great job Bridesmaids! Of course, we know that’s for teasing the groom. For the bride, the highlight is most likely the ‘first look’. The groom had to stand outside the door, confess his love and say his promises to the bride. The bride approved the speech and let him see her. This is a Chinese tradition, how we do a ‘first look’. After that, they had a quick tea ceremony.

Later on we altogether went to the groom’s parent home in Islington, visited his side of the family for having another tea ceremony there. It was a busier, longer ceremony. After it was done, the family provided us traditional Chinese style sweet and salty ‘wife cake’. They were delicious and yummy!

Then we went to The Old Marylebone Town Hall for the ceremony party of wedding and around the town hall romantic bridal and bride & groom couple photoshoots. The couple was a bit shy with each other in the beginning, because it is unusual for them to show affection in public, but after a few shots, they were so much more relax. When we were in The Old Marylebone Town Hall, we experienced the first fire alarm rang in decades! As the Town Hall is a popular wedding venue, there were a few brides and grooms wait outside the Town Hall for roughly an hour. It became an interesting memory for us.

Lastly we went to Sea Containers at the South Bank of River Thames for their banquet, cake cutting and banquet photos. It is a chic, modern venue! We went to the roof top and took some photos of the couple in the evening. This venue is just located next to OXO Tower. The neon lights, combined the background building lights have created a romantic scene for our couple. It was very romantic.

儘管沒有太多限制，但我們仍處於病毒大流行之中。我們很幸運能整天和他們在一起，見證重要的一天。我們一大早就開始為新娘、親戚和伴娘打扮。這位新娘對我們來說是一位特別的新娘，因為她希望自己的髮型看起來非常自然。媽媽說，新娘的造型看起來比伴娘的“簡單”多了！她是對的，然而，當新娘穿上黑色機車夾克後，我們就明白了原因。她的風格是甜美、簡單但搖滾！對我們來說，新娘對自己的髮型和妝容感到滿意很重要，因為照片上確實顯示出自信。在他們的上門遊戲環節中，充滿了歡聲笑語和歡樂。

我們的亮點是新郎需要玩尋寶遊戲，尋找新娘的鞋子。他終於在洗衣機裡找到了它們！在漢語中，“拿鞋”是一個聽起來很丟臉的俚語。伴娘幹得好！當然，我們知道那是為了取笑新郎。對於新娘來說，亮點很可能是“第一眼”。新郎需站在門外，向新娘表白，向新娘承諾。新娘批准了新郎演講，便讓他見她。這是一中式傳統。之後，他們向新娘父母敬茶。

之後我們一起去了新郎在伊斯靈頓父母的家，拜訪了他的家人，在那裡舉行了另一個茶道。這是較長的儀式。完成後，家人給我們傳統的中式老婆餅。非常美味可口！

然後我們去老馬里波恩市政廳參加婚禮儀式，並在市政廳周圍拍攝浪漫的結婚照片。這對夫婦一開始還有些害羞，因為他們不常在公共場合秀表現恩愛，但拍幾張照片之後，他們就放鬆了很多。當我們在舊馬里波恩市政廳時，我們經歷了幾十年來第一次火警鐘響起！由於市政廳是一個受歡迎的婚禮場地，有幾對新娘和新郎在市政廳外等候了大約一個小時。對我們來說，這成了一段有趣的回憶。

最後我們去了泰晤士河南岸的Sea Containers 參加他們的宴會、切蛋糕和宴會照片。這是一個別緻、現代式的場所！晚上我們去了屋頂，拍了幾張這對夫婦的照片。這個場地就在OXO Tower旁邊。霓虹燈，結合背景建築燈，為我們的新人創造了一個浪漫的場景。

Hong Kong Groom's and Macao Bride's Wedding Day in Eltham, South East London, England

This excited, energetic Hong Kong groom and a quite, shy Macao bride seemed having opposite personalities, but aren't we all attracted by the opposite? In a beautiful day, we witness their wedding held in Eltham, South East London, England.

We provided them wedding photography and videography services with their family and friends. It was an intimate wedding since we were still under lockdown restrictions, but we felt extra warmth not just because of the heat from the sun, also from the passion of the guests. We have just spent 3 hours with them, but it seems we have learnt their whole love story within these 3 hours.

We love to photograph the bride, because her dress is one of the kind. The bride has chose a modern 50's simply white dress and she completed the look with an vintage lace hat. She just looked like an actress came from an old Hollywood film. Her bob hair cut was very suitable for her too. This look is suitable for this simply intimate wedding.

The registration was held in Tudor Barn, Eltham. After the civil ceremony, they had a wedding blessing in a church nearby - St Barnabas Eltham.  After the church blessing ceremony, the groom's father has put out a feast with all his favourite dishes. The groom's father is a Chinese chef! The food was provided to their guests and we were lucky to try them. Just tasted heavenly! What a wedding banquet!

這位熱情洋溢的香港新郎和一位善良又有點害羞的澳門新娘。他們性格看似截然相反，但我們不都是被截然相反的所吸引嗎？在六月中美好的一天，我們見證了他們在英國東南倫敦埃爾瑟姆舉行的婚禮。

我們為他們提供了婚紗攝影和錄像服務。這是一場親密的婚禮，家人和朋友不多，因為我們仍然處於封鎖限制之下，但我們感到額外的溫暖，不僅僅是因為太陽的溫度，還有賓客的熱情。我們與他們一起度過了三個小時，但在這三個小時內，我們似乎已經了解了他們的整個愛情故事。

我們喜歡拍新娘，因為她的裙子很是特別。新娘選擇了現代 50 年代的簡單白色連衣裙，並用複古蕾絲帽子完成了造型。她只是看起來像一位來自老好萊塢電影的女演員。她的髮型也很適合她。這造型很適合這場簡單親密的婚禮。

註冊在埃爾瑟姆的Tudor Barn舉行。民事儀式結束後，他們在附近的教堂——St Barnabas Eltham 舉行了婚禮祝福。教堂的祝福儀式結束後，新郎的父親用他最喜歡的菜餚擺出了一場盛宴。新郎的爸爸是中國廚師！他以食物帶給賓的客滿足，我們也很幸運能嘗試一下。的確很不錯！
